Something powerful happens when an activity shifts from being something you do to becoming part of who you are. “I go dancing” becomes “I’m a dancer.” In the research behind this resource, a cardio drumming group that had been meeting for over fourteen years described the moment when they stopped attending a class and became a community. This resource explores that shift. Inside you’ll find the “from doing to becoming” reflection, a group story challenge, activities for noticing “we” moments, and prompts for recognizing when a group begins to experience flow together.
